Ive had this red fabric in my stash for almost a year now waiting anxiously to be made into something adorable. I decided on the easy of easy elastic waist skirt but it needed something extra so I also whipped up a peekaboo slip with lace trim to be its friend.

After I finished this skirt and tried it on with a white tee and big navy belt with a gold buckle I felt like it was about time to go milk bessy and I thought this skirt was destined for the shameful shaodws of the depths of my closet but now I do believe that I have found a decent way to tone down the fair vibe I was getting from it and Im pretty excited to wear this out! As you can also tell I am a little anxious for the weather to turn cooler here in Az and it finally appropriate to wear a light jacket out in public and not be mocked… its about time mother nature! its almost Thanksgiving here!!

This week I also worked on this lovely vintage silk dress from a recent thrifting adventure. I posted about it last week if you recall. I really wish the pictures turned out better Im not sure what happened here but its reinforcing my thoughts of saving up for a new camera.

This dress had an elastic waist that was stretched to the high heavens and some sleeves tht were bordering on ridiculous puffiness, so I replaced the elastic and took in the sides about 2 inches and took the sleeves in about 3 inches from the wrist to the armpit. I adore the print on this dress and Im glad after I had been watching it for so long at Goodwill I actually managed to snag it up! I posted about these two projects for my second real post here on Wardrobe Refashion!
